Cold War Champions

It is March of 1981. The world remains in a state of political and military tension between the Western Bloc and the Eastern Bloc. The relative detente of the previous decade came to an end with the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan two years prior.

The new U.S. President Robert Ellerman is still in the first sixty days of his presidency, the Democrat having defeated Gerald Ford’s re-election bid in the previous year and put an end to twelve years of Republican control of the White House. The nation is just starting to come out of the “stagflation” that characterized most of Ford’s only term in office.

In addition to each side’s nuclear deterrent, the governments employ agents with supernatural abilities to both protect their interests and expand their dominance in the world.
